Quilt Top Finished

This is a quilt kit from Hearthside Quilts.
I purchased it around 2005.
I put it together and I just did not like the way it turned out.
I took the entire quilt apart and placed it in a box for another day.
While looking for Christmas boxes last weekend, my husband came across a box filled with quilt projects!  This one was inside.
I was so happy and excited to finally find these missing projects.
I resewed the quilt top.  Finished it today.

It is called Castle Keep.
It is 44" X 62" ~ a lap size quilt.
Machine sewn.  Navy blue, muslin and a light blue calico print.
I feel blessed that all the pieces were still all together.

    1. Thank you, a quilt top is so much better than pieces of fabric loose in a box. I was so worried that I would get to the end and be short of fabric and being so old I would not be able to match what I needed. Luckily, this had a happy ending.

    1. Yes, a special present to find those missing quilting projects! After sitting so long in a box I wanted to quickly get the pieces sewn together and finish the quilt top. Hopefully soon I can turn it into a finished quilt. Being small it will make a great cuddle and stay warm quilt.

  7. What a striking quilt top! (But, no red! :~)) And so beautifully done! I also like the title, "Castle Keep." "Buttons and patches and the cold wind blowing. The days pass quickly when I am sewing." I think of you often!

    1. We have that "cold wind blowing here today". It was nice to have a project to sew and focus on; although this is a busy time of year. I am one who loves to "save" the quilt. From pieces to a quilt top...hopefully soon to be a quilt. Now to focus more on enjoying Christmas!
