  1. They're both beautiful, Sandra! I know how much work the Lone Star is; I have one that isn't finished! :) The fireworks print is cute.

    1. I have made two Lone Star quilts; and I was given a very old Lone Star quilt top that I finished into a quilt. They are a bit difficult. I have one more to finish up someday. Hope you had a Happy 4th of July!

    1. I love to work on quilts; although they take me a good amount of time to bring them to a place I can call "finished". But when the work is all done it feels worth it.

    1. Thank you. Sometimes I just reach into my box of scraps and start sewing them together. Some turn out better than others.

    1. Thank you. I have made two Lone Star Quilts from scratch and I was given a Lone Star quilt top that I also turned into a finished quilt.

    1. These are just log cabin blocks but the one darker color strip made it look more like pinwheels to me!

  10. Your red, cream, and blue quilts are gorgeous! (I do like the cream better than stark white.) You do such beautiful work! I will start following your weather - hope to see rain heading your way soon!

    1. Late Saturday evening we went to bed with the sounds of thunder and seeing lightning. We woke up to signs of having had some rain. Although I don't think it was enough to make enough difference. Still we were happy to have the sprinkles!

I like the cream over stark white quilts too. It is easier for my eyes to see and stitch on the cream or white fabric rather than dark and printed fabrics, but then again it is easier for others to see your stitches. Always something to think about...
